Collaboration with Esther Sabetpour Ramnath
Movement - photography - stories

Esther and I have been working collaboratively at the arts and wellbeing intersection fusing dance, theatre, photography and writing in studio and outdoors.
Our work revolves around themes of body image, shame, trauma and intimacy, challenging voyeurism and reclaiming a raw, free and multi-sensorial relationship with our bodies.
We have taken over public spaces with impromptu actions of photography as performance, letting the body interact with squeezed and busy urban environments through a slow, somatic attention. Stilling time and defying the surrounding urge for production and consumerism.
In the studio (Parkside Yards, Southall), we've been playing with different materials that enable disappearance, mirroring and sensory immersion.
